Lake Havasu IJSBA Jet Ski World Finals- The finals take place October 5-13 at Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
The IJSBA World Finals is one of the most, if not the most esteemed and prestigious single personal watercraft event in the globe. Drawing in over 750 of the world’s best personal watercraft competitors from more than 40 nations, the World Finals have been the foundation of IJSBA racing. Participants from around the world take the pilgrimage to Lake Havasu City every October for the chance to compete for the world champion title on the international stage.
Excited spectators cheer on and root for their countries’ racers and free-style exhibitions. For the more adventurous breeds of visitors, they can even rent watercraft and enjoy the beautiful Lake Havasu.
Anyone who has ever been in Lake Havasu City more than a couple of days knows that, each October, the yearly IJSBA Jet Ski World Finals draws in thousands of people into town to watch competitors, from an average of 33 countries, do high speed runs and aerial stunts to earn well-deserved world championship titles.
Historically, the very first IJSBA World Finals was conducted in Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1982 and since then the event has remained in the isolated desert oasis settled adjacent the Colorado River – starting at the Nautical Inn and later proceeding to the northern area of the island’s Crazy Horse RV Park & Resort – attracting thousands of PWC racers and spectators from across the globe.
For the last several years, the event has been admission-free, letting anyone in from town to come and enjoy watching the races and viewing all of the participants and exhibits at the event. Several events ago, a Saturday night stunt show was featured below the London Bridge. This, too, is admission free. If this were not enough, IJSBA announced a new set of attractions to celebrate Lake Havasu City with the event.
This paved the way to the AquaLife Festival which is a new highlight of the World Finals that draws in many new kinds of exhibitors who cater to the recreational enjoyment of water. Aqualife includes a slew of exciting new products like the HydroHammock, a water-filled hammock that can also double as a portable spa. Popular items, such as the Body Glove inflatables and Ronix wakeboard line will be on sale at some of the lowest prices ever.
Other merchandise such as electric motorcycles, boat care products, beach clothing, giant trucks, tools, and a lot more are featured at the trade show part of the annual event.
Topping off the excitement is the first ever digital video game World Championship where the sport being played in the game will be played at the same time and place as its digital version. The top three winners of the video game online world championship will receive exactly the same trophies as the winners in the actual watercraft race.
